Revolutionizing Soil Regeneration

Conceived originally by Feed Earth Now (FEN) and scaled commercially by Easy Environmental Solutions (EES), Terreplenish® regenerates soil health and decomposes food waste via its nutrient-rich, organic microbial solution.

Living microbes pull, trap, and solubilize essential nutrients for plant growth through optimal nutrient delivery. Only a fraction of popular chemical-based additives may reach a plant’s root system, the rest either dissolving or rendered inaccessible. Generated from anaerobic fermentation emitting neither heat nor gas, and validated by agronomical scientists for generating verifiable results, Terreplenish® confers a multitude of benefits on growers and producers.

✅ Fixes atmospheric nitrogen, reducing synthetic fertilizer use by up to 60 lbs./acre
✅ Releases up to 20 lbs./acre of legacy phosphorus (P₂O₅), improving nutrient availability
✅ Boosts soil water-holding by up to 125%, cutting irrigation needs up to 25%
✅ Accelerates maturity, increases yields
✅ Enhances pathogen and pest resistance, minimizing synthetic fungicide use
✅ Reduces nutrient loss through improved retention and minimized leaching
✅ Builds lasting soil fertility for sustainable yield potential
✅ Third-party validated by accredited research

These outcomes position Terreplenish® at the nexus of regenerative agriculture and circular sustainability—two once-divergent approaches now unified by a scalable, proven solution for both conventional and certified organic systems.

Terreplenish® further enhances plant defense by:

✅ Disrupting pathogen cell membrane growth.
✅ Preventing spore germination and attachment to plant surfaces.
✅ Enhancing plant resilience by boosting mineral and sugar content.

Terreplenish® inhibiting pathogen development naturally proves its necessity in any producer’s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan to protect crops effectively.

Testimonials Fueled by Science

“It just works—everywhere I’ve tried it.”
Roy Winings has used Terreplenish® across his farm—from row crops to raised vegetable beds—and reports consistent, positive results. For him, corn treated with specifically Terreplenish® showed darker, healthier foliage and tasseling up to two weeks earlier, even under drought stress. On flowering and fruiting plants, the benefits exceeded expectations: vegetables grew larger with deeper flavor, and blooms appeared more vibrant and earlier than usual.

“Same yields, less fuel, fewer passes—Terreplenish® pays for itself.”
In one side-by-side test, a 40-acre corn plot treated by Winings with only Terreplenish®—no supplemental nitrogen—yielded 206 bushels per acre. A neighboring plot receiving 50 lbs. of traditional nitrogen and yielded 212 bushels per acre—a mere 6-bushel difference. Priced at $4, the bushel discrepancy proved negligible while the cost-savings proved exponential.

Terreplenish®: A Liquid Microbial Soil Amendment with Many Benefits for Growers

When scaled to 110 acres or more, Winings estimates Terreplenish® has saved him between $15,000 and $20,000 annually just in diesel fuel, time, and additives while discounting conventional fertilizer costs that, when priced in, reveals the magnitude of Wining’s savings: “We used to apply 3,000 gallons of ammonia at around a cost of $12,000,” he reveals. “With Terreplenish®, that has changed” delivering savings now approximating $27,000 – $32,000 per crop cycle.

These short-term cost savings cultivate a legacy of sustainability extending beyond the environmental to define what a closed-loop system resembles at scale while demonstrating how purpose-driven innovation and persistence can transform organic waste into a valuable resource, validating regenerative agriculture and circular sustainability to build a resilient global bioeconomy.

Origins of Feed Earth Now and Terreplenish®

“My journey with FEN and Terreplenish® has been a direct reflection of my core values—resilience, purpose, and responsibility to both people and the planet.”

– Founder and CEO Cathy Scratch

Prior to partnering with Easy Environmental Solutions (OTC: DUTV) in 2022, Feed Earth Now (FEN) had already established itself in the sustainable agricultural space, refining its flagship product into a certified organic plant growth accelerator. Founder and CEO Cathy Scratch likens Terreplenish® to human microbiomes that reestablish one’s immunity and reoptimize nutrient digestion; likewise, Terreplenish® revives soil health with critical minerals to revive productivity and improve nutrient solubility.

Scratch states the product concept emerged more from circumstance than commitment: Her prior consultancy work as owner and President of Green Planet Waste & Recycling Solutions, Inc., in the Chicagoland area had exposed her daily to remarkable scale of food waste designated to be landfilled, originating among hotel chains and hospitals alone. Witnessing this directly and extrapolating similar waste stream from additional segments and industries inspired Scratch to refocus her career on transforming food waste into a value-added product while diverting it from municipal landfills. Her foresight and persistence culminated in the 2011 debut of Terreplenish®, cautiously launched in small batches.

People noticed—quickly.

Retail demand, industry backing, and scientific validation soon followed. In 2014, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity awarded Scratch and Feed Earth Now a $225,000 grant through its Food Scrap Composting Revitalization and Advancement Program (F-SCRAP).

For Scratch, this was a pivotal moment: “It was the first real validation that others saw the potential in what I was building.” The guidance of veteran agronomist Ron Doetch, Managing Partner at Solutions in the Land, LLC added further clarity: “I knew I had something real.”

With quintupled capacity to process food waste into Terreplenish®, FEN gained broader recognition, more press, and rising sales: The innovation earned accolades in both 2011 and 2013 from Cleantech Open, the world’s largest cleantech accelerator. In 2014, Scratch also received Green America’s People & Planet Award, joining 60 U.S. green businesses honored for commitments to social justice and sustainability.

Terreplenish® did not originate in a lab or a boardroom. It began with a moment of clarity—a visceral realization of food waste’s true cost. What followed defied convention and credential, but not conviction.

“Trust your instincts, even if you feel like an outsider,” Scratch reflects. “I started with no formal background in agriculture or science—just a strong belief that food waste held untapped potential. Don’t wait for permission to start. Begin where you are and let curiosity and purpose guide you. Challenges are invitations to innovate.”

Terreplenish® Meets EasyFEN™ Systems

A pivotal point for FEN and Scratch occurred in June 2022, when Easy Energy Systems, Inc., a company specializing in developing scalable modular solutions for persistent environmental problems, pursued a majority stake in FEN’s flagship product. CEO Mark Gaalswyk had identified the unrealized value in scaling up Terreplenish® years prior, inspiring him to manufacture and patent the EasyFEN™ Modular Microbe Fertilizer Production System—a compact, fully automated, self-sufficient unit designed for quick transport and on-site installation.

Operational within 120 days and requiring a space just half the size of a shipping container, a single EasyFEN™ unit can uniformly produce up to 2 million gallons of Terreplenish® annually to accommodate up to 1 million acres of fertilizer, including America’s most resource-intensive field crop, corn.

This acquisition fulfilled Scratch’s earliest goal to produce Terreplenish® in greater volumes. Speaking again about her success: “Merging with DUTV and expanding our reach globally feels like the culmination of all those validations—proof that this vision has a place in reshaping agriculture and regenerating the planet,” she states.

EES Uses Green Technology to Help Transform Global Agriculture for Local Communities

This commitment took greater contour with an April 2024 strategic merger that unified Feed Earth Now with Gaalswyk’s other recently fully integrated subsidiaries, Easy Energy Systems Technologies, LLC, and Easy Modular Manufacturing, Inc., positioning the new enterprise as a distinguished global leader in environmental solutions.

“Our approach to innovation is about blending—blending ideas, blending technologies,” says Gaalswyk. “We’ve essentially taken every drawer of a college science lab and modularized it. You can mix and match them to create rapid, full-scale solutions for some of the world’s most urgent challenges.”

Gaalswyk has long been attuned to the needs of agricultural communities and the challenges of environmental stewardship. This background has informed his mission: to transform complex scientific principles into scalable, real-world solutions for food security, clean water, and climate resilience—challenges aligned with what Gaalswyk has spent his professional life pursuing and solving at a global scale, evidence of which can be found in a spate of recent material events in the form of partnerships, acquisitions, and contracts.

Food Insecurity Ravages Kenya – Easy Environmental Solutions Plans to Implement Proprietary Technology to Eliminate Starvation

The company’s increasing foothold in Africa to fastrack greater self-reliance and economic security among local communities is part and parcel of Gaalswyk’s envisioning of EasyFEN™ not just as a product, but moreover as a mechanism to empower.

“This is not about incremental improvement. we’re delivering a leapfrog moment with breakthrough tools that can empower countries to meet and exceed their agricultural, environmental, and economic goals with autonomy, dignity, and speed.

The initiative, punctuated by the impressive scalability of EasyFEN™, has since attracted a wider berth of domestic players:  regional farm co-ops, certified organic farmers, local compost facilities, and area golf courses have either expressed interest or formed partnerships after sufficient first-hand experience with the superiority of Terreplenish® and the synergy of EasyFEN™ in solving persistent environmental issues.

Final Thoughts

The partnership between Terreplenish® and EasyFEN™ shows how practical innovation can meet urgent agricultural needs with clarity and purpose. Cathy Scratch laid the foundation by recognizing food waste not as trash, but as untapped potential for soil restoration. Mark Gaalswyk expanded that vision, applying his expertise in modular systems to make production scalable, repeatable, and locally deployable. Together, they have built a system where soil health, waste reduction, and grower profitability can align not through reinvention but rather through redevelopment.

By turning organic waste into a resource and delivering it through accessible technology, Terreplenish® and EasyFEN™ offer a grounded, regenerative model for agriculture—one rooted in science, scaled by design, and focused on long-term impact.
